Firstly we would like to say we hope that all of our clients are safe and well. It’s no secret that the past 6 months have presented huge change to our daily lives. The mortgage market stood mostly still in the months of March and April and we have suffered Furlough like so many of you. However, the past few months since have seen a surge in enquiries. Lets discuss how it has effected what we do on a daily basis…
Covid has had a huge impact on the mortgage market. We have seen a huge influx of clients buying and selling homes that could be linked to the removal of Stamp Duty Tax in certain scenarios. We have also seen lots of movement around lenders appetite to risk. This means that we have no 95% mortgages on the market at present, and lenders that have 90% LTV are changing all the time. We are keeping on top of this, ensuring we are getting the best deals we can for clients. Its been a testing time for so many of us and we would like to thank you for your continued support.
Lending policy is changing all the time. Certain lenders have stopped accepting furloughed income. Please do contact us with any questions because the beauty of what we do means we have access to whole of market. There are so many lenders that we deal with on a daily basis, so we can tailor a mortgage deal and rate based on your circumstances.
This is what we have been up to over the past 6 months:
Recently Ian has been run off his feet with new enquiries. New purchases, remortgages, rate roll offs, buy-to-let, self-builds and life cover are the main enquiries he has had and because of this, he is very knowledgeable when it comes to how he can help clients. Anyone who has had dealings with Ian knows how he has a skill for keeping things clear and simple. This is apparent in the recent reviews he has received.
Steve has been working with business clients helping them to secure CBILS loans as well as dealing with on going commercial and residential enquiries.
Faye is providing support to Ian and Steve whilst also ensuring they have caffeine!
We are all working out of our office as of this month. The schools going back has created more capacity and that we are very grateful!
